Hey I'm Tay, the homebody of all homebodies.

Somewhere between my Southern Californian roots and Pacific Northwest upbringing, I was forged into a passionate artist and lover of the cozy things in life! Currently, I am a 30 year old mother to a rad little boy, a fur mom to an Australian Shepherd and two kitty cats. For the last 13 years, I've been married to the love of my life. My family truly means everything to me. Without them and their undying support to do what I love and never stop learning, I am not me!!

Before diving into my full time photography career, I spent the majority of the last 10 years being an advocate in my local birth work communities as a full spectrum doula. After experiencing the true depths of what Birth Trauma entails, I chose to make damn sure that I would help make sure any person in a vulnerable space is advocated for and taken care of. For years I chose to channel a lot of my birth work to the underserved and underprivileged areas of my birth communities. It is my belief that safe physiological childbirth is not and should never be seen as a luxury dependent upon financial status, it is a right for anyone giving birth. Additionally, the majority of my college education was strategically focused on the racial & gender injustices that currently plague perinatal healthcare systems world wide on both criminal and social levels. I became a Birth Becomes you birth photographer in 2021.

I am more than a photographer; I am a natural advocate for human beings and the humankind experience.

At my core, I am a reflection of the nostalgic love that I was given by my Great Grandmother, Doris Mae. Doris was a passionate creator who loved Olives as snacks (also, in her gin martinis) and her birth flower is the timeless September Aster. O&A is a tribute to the unconditional nostalgic love she gave me as a young girl. When I am not documenting love stories or filling my head with ungodly amounts of school text, you can find me in my kitchen cooking a meal from scratch, baking sourdough, wandering around in the woods, making miniatures, listening to a Romantasy audiobook (my real home is in the night court) cozy gaming or simply being present with my family.
