Do you Travel?
Have camera, will travel! Especially around the PNW. I usually include the first 30 miles into my session fees. However, traveling outside of Clark County could result in a travel fee that includes additional gas and milage. This fee varies upon location. I've proudly photographed events and sessions in WA, OR, CA, HI, AZ and ID.
How long have you been doing this?
I have been a photography hobbyist for 11 years now. It wasn't until 2020 did I start focusing on growing my skills and investing in the tools to photograph people outside friends and family. I have owned my own photo business for four years now, shot 26 weddings with my mentor in just 2022 (my first year doing weddings) and became a certified birth photographer in that same year, as well.
How do we choose a location?
Please consider a setting that is unique to you! Are you drawn to water? Let's find some! Do you enjoy being in the mountains? Mt. hood is calling! Are you at home on the beach? I'll meet you at the Oregon coast! Want to stay local? We have so many beautiful locations here in SW WA! Whatever you love and whatever you are drawn to, we will make it happen. However, to make it easier, I can send you a trusty list of locations to choose from. Available to travel within the US as well!
How do we get our photos?
At this time, all packages include a print release and fully downloadable images from the custom gallery that is included in your session fee.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes. However, not heavily. In the past, I have taken workshops and college courses that have taught me to use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to brighten and create beautiful, unique photos that will last a lifetime. I do not and will not photoshop or distort bodies and faces to look completely different than they do in real life. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! I strive to bring authentic work to my clients, which means presenting photographs that reflect exactly who you are.
Whats your turn around time?
During this busy time, please allow up to 4 weeks for standard gallery turn over and 8-12 weeks for full wedding galleries.
How do we book you?
Fill out the inquiry sheet under the Session Inquiry Tab. OR, you can email your inquiry directly to oliveandasterimagery@gmail.com. Please allow up to three days, especially when inquiring over the weekend, for initial response.
Can you help us with planning?
Absolutely, I will be there with you every step of the way. Location, setting, outfits, prompts and more. Prepare to work with me! I have plenty of detailed guides to send you along the way!
How far out do you book?
For one hour sessions, I recommend inquiring at least 1 month in advance. Newborn sessions are given priority scheduling, so you can book these as far in advance as you'd like! I use your EDD as a placeholder in my calendar as a reminder of when I should be hearing from you to schedule. Have peace of mind knowing I am ready when your babe chooses their birthday <3
How does your maternity and newborn package work?
The package includes two sessions, the maternity session is 1 hour at a location of your choice and the lifestyle newborn is up to 1.5 hours depending on the newborns temperament at the time, either at home or in a studio. This includes two galleries, print release and an abundance of photos that will last a lifetime.
What should we wear?
I have created an outfit building guide that I send out to all my booked clients to help ease the mental load of outfit preparation. However, some helpful tips to make it easier:
Consider wearing neutral and/or earth tones while limiting patterns and logos on clothing. Jackets, sweaters, skirts, dresses, suits, boots, hats and jewelry are all great options.
Do you share my images?
I love sharing my work but only when I have written consent to do so. Especially when your children are involved. As a mother myself and I respect your right to keep their faces and identities private. ALWAYS. No pressure.
